Cold Winter
Unfolds to piece together of what is at the time missing
Attempting to reconcile and repay her society in debt...
Her written memoir seems so lost, cluttered and distant
The heaviness on her back, from carrying her ancestors,
And children of small stature...
Somehow the load is somehow lightened,
Reminiscing about the children’s joy and laughter
The heaviness on her back, from carrying her ancestors,
And children of small stature...
Somehow the load is somehow lightened,
Reminiscing about the children’s joy and laughter
She’ll smile gracefully and painfully and accept it at all cost
Even though the slightest gust of turbulence from the wind emptied her pockets
But her head never sunk, understanding that only pennies have been temporarily lost...
But a woman she standsI
But a woman she standsI
n this frigid world so ugly and cold
And as a woman I'll stand
As my womanhood unfolds....
