Karma

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Dear Diary
I am ashamed that I cannot practice
All that I say and all that I preach
To forgive what has been done in the past
Now the past seems to be in my reach.
When does it get easy?
To just let go and forgive
To trust and believe
And not think about it, everyday that I live
Often I question myself,
Has karma found its way back, in time to serve me?
Is it my fate to accept destiny’s sentence?
Is it my time to reimburse the fee?
Maybe I’m reaping what I’ve sewn
That’s why it still plays in my mind
Playing over and over in my head,
Having uneasy thoughts, thoughts of you and her that are unkind
I’m incarcerated, a prisoner by the tenderness of my thoughts
My confidence in you, was shakin’
By the karma of what I may have brought
I guess what goes around comes around
I’ll have to accept this internal bleeding
And come to terms with these hurtful thoughts
Of broken trust and cheating
Just remember karma is a bitch
So keep in mind what I teach
Before karma’s timely appearance
Comes in the arms of your reach..

Cold Winter

Image and video hosting by TinyPicA woman’s definition in life...
Unfolds to piece together of what is at the time missing
Attempting to reconcile and repay her society in debt...
Her written memoir seems so lost, cluttered and distant
The heaviness on her back, from carrying her ancestors,
And children of small stature...
Somehow the load is somehow lightened,
Reminiscing about the children’s joy and laughter
She’ll smile gracefully and painfully and accept it at all cost
Even though the slightest gust of turbulence from the wind emptied her pockets
But her head never sunk, understanding that only pennies have been temporarily lost...
But a woman she standsI
n this frigid world so ugly and cold
And as a woman I'll stand
As my womanhood unfolds....

Embodying My Personification

If I Photoshopped a pic of me,
I'd crop it, color it in sepia and make me a portrait in black and white
I'll include all the framework once discarded
Blending it till my portrait was just right
I'll include a visual interpretation of what I see of me
I'd pencil me in a microphone, imaging a soul-stress I aspire to be
I'd erase that dim cloud
That seems to linger over my head
And substitute it with a silver lining
For good fortune instead
I'd fine-tune the sharpness
And swallow this potent capsule of epitome
Flushing away all that makes me feel disgusted inside
That left me drained, feeling sick of me
If I used Photoshop
Maybe temporarily to alter my flick
I'd erase all the things I see in the mirror
That make me weary and sick
